Deep groove ball bearings, also known as radial bearings, are bearings that have a groove on the outside as well as the inside of the bearing. The grooves help to reduce the strain on the bearings, which enables them to take heavier loads and operate in high-speed conditions. Deep groove ball bearings can be used in most any machine that uses ball bearings to avoid heavy friction. Single row deep groove ball bearings are the most common type of bearing because they can be used in several types of applications. They are classified as open type, shielded type, or sealed type. Shielded ball bearings are the same size as regular ball bearings, and help to prevent outside machinery from the outside elements. They also help to prevent grease leakage. Sealed ball bearings are similar both in size and preventing grease leakage. Deep groove ball bearings are known to handle faster speeds than normal ball bearings, which make the operation of machinery quieter, reducing vibrations, and enabling longer machinery life. It also enables increased capability and improved precision.
